The hike yesterday can be summed up in one word. HARD. For about 2 hours we panted and swore as we attempted to climb to the top of Mt. Nkhoma. Although the hike was strenuous, the view at the top was worth all our pain. We were able to see for miles in all directions and could view some of the villages we will be working at. The area that the mountain was in was also very beautiful. It was much more hilly than Lilongwe and had more trees. I could imagine the area before all the trees were cut down and it would have been even more beautiful.
I cannot wait to start at our new school. More about that on Tuesday. Monday is my cooking day so I will be really busy.
